Meeting A Real VIP
Thursday evening my 3 sisters and I met in the parking lot of the Federal Court Building to tailgate for the Clemson-Temple game. We met federal judges, US Marshalls, Probation guys, but I alone met the ultimate VIP.
A very nice and jovial woman in her 60's explained she and her husband had lived in Charlotte for a number of years, It had been too long since their last vist, and he could work the game.
"Work the game?Referee, concessions, souvineers?"
"Well," she said, "he's here to scout 6 Clemson players."
So he's an NFL scout!
"My husband is Bill Polian, President of the Indianopolis Colts."
She was great, getting tired of the politics, talk shows, and the time it takes away from her family. Their son is the special teams coach for Notre Dame.
